Homemade Burger Recipe

Prep: 15 mins
Cook: 30 mins
Yields: 8 Servings

01.

Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet to medium-high heat.In a mixing bowl, gently combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Be careful not to overmix as it can make the burgers tough.

02.

Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties, about 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick. Press a slight indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.

03.

Place the burger patties on the preheated grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or adjust the cooking time according to your desired level of doneness.

04.

While the burgers are cooking, you can lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a separate pan. Once the burgers are cooked to your liking, remove them from the heat and let them rest for a couple of minutes.

05.

Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a toasted bun. Add your preferred toppings, such as lettuce, tomato slices, onion slices, pickles, cheese, ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise.

06.

Serve the burgers immediately while they're still warm and enjoy the deliciousness!
